Focus on learning at EAHP Congress in Vienna

The increasing importance of learning for hospital and clinical pharmacists is a focus at the upcoming European Association of Hospital Pharmacists (EAHP) Congress.

Philippe Carre, Professor of Education at Université Paris Ouest Nanterre La Défense, will present the third keynote speech – Times they are a-changin’ – the growing place of clinical learning – at the 16th Congress of the EAHP in Vienna, Austria on Friday 1st April 2011.

Other keynotes scheduled for the meeting, to be held from Wednesday 30th March until Friday 1st April, include change management in clinical pharmacy and medicines management and patient safety.

Following the keynote speeches each morning, seminars will be held on a series of topics.

Highlights include: ‘A need for hospital pharmacist specialisation?’ and ‘Developing and maintaining specialisation – continuing professional development’.
