German-based phytopharmaceutical firm Schwabe hopes to gain access to the UK market with the acquisition of UK-based company MH Pharma.
The German company, Dr Willmar Schwabe GmbH & Co KG, is based in Karlsruhe, while MH Pharma (UK) Ltd is based in Marlow, UK.

Schwabe, a family-owned enterprise founded in 1866, claims to be one of the world’s leading companies in the development, manufacturing and marketing of phytomedicines.
It has some 20 subsidiaries and joint ventures in European countries as well as in the USA, Mexico and China.
Worldwide sales reached €500m in 2007.
