The Board of the European Hematology Association (EHA) has the pleasure to cordially invite you, as a member of the press, to the 19th Congress of EHA. More than 9,500 participants from around the world are expected at the upcoming 19th Congress of the European Hematology Association at the – Milano Congressi in Milan, Italy from June 12-15, 2014.
About the EHA Annual Congress
Haematology is a specialty that covers everything to do with blood: its origin in the bone marrow, diseases of blood and their treatments. The latest data on research and development within the spectrum of hematology are presented. The Congress is aimed at health professionals working or interested in the field of hematology. The scientific topics range from stem cell physiology and development, to leukaemia; lymphoma; diagnosis and treatment; red blood cells; white blood cells and platelet disorders; haemophilia and myeloma; thrombosis and bleeding disorders as well as transfusion and stem cell transplantation.
A number of sessions in the congress programme are dedicated to more general health care issues such as:
The Advocacy track will address the topic of young patients with old people’s diseases as well as generic medicines in haematology discussed from different perspectives.
The EHA-ASH joint symposium will cover the topic pricing. And the EHA-ESH joint symposium handles, in an interactive session for haematologists and patients, the question for the second year around: “What do you mean, I can’t have the treatment?”
State-of-the-art science will also be presented.
