Health ministers share their strategies on Chronic Disease Management

Chronic conditions can represent up to 70% of a country’s total health expenditure. With aging populations and a growing number of chronic patients, improving disease management has become a key priority in Europe.

On May 19, French health minister Roselyne Bachelot and her Italian homologue Ferruccio Fazio will share their visions and strategies in a special session of the Health Executive Summit on “Preparing health systems for the future: Integrating chronic disease and population health management in national reforms”.

Other topics discussed at the international conference will include reengineering care, implementing standards of care, empowering patients, promoting compliance, and measuring outcomes.

Renowned experts will convene from over the world to share strategies, experiences and best practices.
