UKCPA announces infection masterclass in June

The United Kingdom Clinical Pharmacy Association has announced an Infection Management Group (IMG) Masterclass, to be held on Friday 8th June. 

The Masterclass, ‘New ideas for old infections’, will be held in the Grand Connaught Rooms in Great Queen Street, London, from 9:30 until 16:45, with a registration fee of £35 (44) for members and £135 (168) for non-members. 

It will begin with an introduction and IMG update from Paul Wade, Chair of the IMG, at 10:00.

The brochure for the event says that it aims to “update participants on developments in antimicrobial usage that will have a positive impact on patient management. 

It continues: “This will include a review of the use of older antimicrobials, a description of novel methods for managing skin & soft tissue infections, horizon scanning the development of new antimicrobials, and sharing examples of best practice from around the UK.”
