Systagenix, the advanced wound management company, has opened its new bespoke head office at City Place, Gatwick, as the epicenter and focus for its global business.

The Systagenix Head Office was officially opened this week by the mayor of Crawley, councillor Brenda Burgess.  The MP for Crawley, Laura Moffatt, was also in attendance, along with local dignitaries, customers and employees.

Systagenix was formed by a management buyout of the Johnson & Johnson Professional Wound Care business which had a 75 year heritage.  The business has grown at a phenomenal rate since its inception in December 2008, when it was run by one person working from home, through to four people in the Regus building in Crawley to now 70 people at City Place. Systagenix is now on target to grow by over 230 people by the end of 2009 to over 800 employees globally.

“The opening of the new head office will enable us to bring all the main aspects of the business together so we can focus on making Systagenix the world’s most admired wound care company.  By being positioned in Gatwick we are really at the gateway to the world and we look forward to building a strong and long lasting heritage here as at our manufacturing site in Gargrave, Yorkshire which celebrates its 75th anniversary this year,” said Systagenix’s CEO, Steve Atkinson.
