teaser

A Critical Care Group Masterclass kicks off a busy few months of events for the United Kingdom Clinical Pharmacy Association (UKCPA).

The event, which will take place at Kingsway Hall Hotel, London, will provide the required knowledge and skills for pharmacists who are starting out in critical care.

An Intensive Weekend School has been organised in Manchester from 23-24 March, before a Cardiac Group Masterclass in London on March 29, with the aim of providing knowledge and skills for pharmacy practitioners to make clinical decisions in areas where the evidence is conflicting or lacking.

On April 26, the UKCPA will is holding a Haemostasis, Anticoagulation and Thrombosis Group Masterclass in London, where the evidence base for established and new oral anticoagulants will be discussed, as well as the impact of the introduction of the new oral anticoagulants on practice.

Finally, the UKCPA and the Guild of Hospital Pharmacists (GHP) will unite for a Joint National Conference on May 18-20 in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

The eighth event of its kind, ‘The hidden 5/6: the real role of pharmacy’ will host presentations on medication safety, transfer of care, hospital pharmacy standards, critical care clinical skills and mental health issues.
